Designed for hikers and day packers, Mountrek’s LiteHiking™ collection gives you everything you need for a comfortable and safe day on the trail or turf. Technically developed constructions comprise nine layers from outsole to footbed, ensuring comfort and stability with every step. To start, a molded rubber outsole incorporates directional trail lugs for superior traction. A puncture-resistant plate runs heel to toe, protecting the entire foot from sharp rocks or tree roots. A compression-molded EVA midsole and polyurethane heel support are also part of the advanced architecture. But there’s even more to this shoe’s progressive composition. A PolyStride™ footbed combines open-cell foam and moisture-wicking fabric: shoe and boot uppers are waterproof, breathable mesh — completing shoes that are both rugged and stylish.

1.	•	Moisture Wicking Footbed Cover:

	•	HILEX woven polyester fabric is a moisture-wicking, anti-friction, breathable fabric that helps keep the foot dry and from overheating.

	•	Open-cell foam developed to provide energy return, reduce muscle fatigue, offer enhanced cushioning, and deliver unparalleled comfort with an extremely low compression set.

Open-cell polyurethane foam has been developed to provide the perfect blend of cushioning with a built-in moisture movement system. This technology wicks moisture and absorbs odor with natural active carbon, while inhibiting the growth of fungus and bacteria with environmentally friendly antimicrobials, and has an extremely low compression set.

	•	Molded TPR (thermal plastic rubber) footbed heel cup for enhanced heel stability and motion control
